Orion released his debut EP, containing 4 songs and was produced at Sad Cowboy Recording.
To continue LGBTQ+ Advocacy across Rural Kansas, Orion produced a homecoming and heartwarming Drag Race Watch party for Kansan Contestant, "Q."
Orion served as Music Director for OKC-based Music Theatre group: "Mt Sessions." This group provides college-aged students with a performance outlet off campus, for students in and around the OKC area. Orion also served as one of the collaborative pianists for the evening.
This summer Orion is headed back to KS, to perform at the Great Plains Theatre! He will be playing Dr. Grimwig and Understudying Mr. Bumble in their production of "OLIVER!"
Orion was nominated and won this award for his portrayal of Robert Martin in the Drowsy Chaperone!
Laura Lundgren Smith's Digging up the Boys placed 3rd at Kansas Thespian Festival under the direction of Orion Turner.
Orion Turner and Jesse Duncan were featured in The KTF thespy review, securing them as one of the top 12 highest scoring performances of the festival, for their portrayal of Broadway Bound by Neil Simon.
Orion Turner and Jesse Duncan Directed "Chapter Two" by Neil Simon as WEACT's Debut Mainstage show. The show was recieved well from the community.
Orion was nominated for two awards at the Theatre Kansas 2021 awards. The nominations include Best Lobby Display, and Best Leading Actor. Orion was among three that won the Best Leading Actor Award for his portrayal of the Father. Out of the three, Orion scored the highest, in fact, he scored the highest among both the men and women categories. The Theatre Kansas Awards were put on in place of the Jester Awards.
At Texas Tri-State thespian festival, Orion was awarded a superior rating for his performance of "I'll Be There" from the Pirate Queen. He is excited to display his piece at International competition.
Orion Turner participated in a one on one workshop with the critically-acclaimed composer, Stephen Schwartz. There, Orion got to receive critique on his music!
